Terms of Purchase from CandyLand Pugs
Here at CandyLand we strive to produce healthy pugs for both show and pet homes. We have worked hard to breed healthy dogs and strive to continue to breed according to the AKC Pug breed standard. We do breed for temperament first because these dogs were originally bred to be companion dogs and should therefore not show signs of aggression. I feel the pug breed is becoming too aggressive and therefore am trying to breed for good temperaments, and sound healthy dogs.
Because this breed is becoming so popular right now it is very important to make sure that these dogs are bred to only healthy dogs and those that meet the pug breed standard for fear of future health problems. Please be aware that there are many people breeding these dogs now for the money and I fear that this is going to destroy this wonderful breed in the future if we do not protect what we breed now and in the future.
All of our pet quality puppies go out on a spay/neuter contract and limited registration and we hold AKC papers until this is accomplished. We require vet confirmation that the dogs have been spayed or neutered. Once we receive this we will provide AKC papers.
All of our show prospect puppies go out on a show contract and are C0-owned until they earn their championship title.
Any and all deposits placed on our dogs are nonrefundable. We place people on our waiting list according to how the deposits are received. If at any time in the purchase process, a show home comes along and the dog is show quality, this person will take precedence over a pet home. If we don't have a puppy for you, then we will either return your deposit or put you at the top of the waiting list for the next litter.
We are working hard here at CandyLand to produce healthy, well socialized puppies that will live long, healthy and happy lives.
We never ship our pug puppies.
We stand behind everything we breed. Please feel free to contact us with additional questions.
